Tony Kushner is an American author, playwright, and screenwriter.He was born in New York City in 1956 in a Jewish family. He has received awords for his works, including two Tony Awards, an Emmy Award, and a Pulitzer Prize. He is best known for his plays Angels in America: A Gay Fantasia on National Themes and Caroline, or Change, both of which deal with social and political issues in America.
